So many guidelines have been made available online to help job applicants perform well during an interview. The dress code, the mental preparation and the proper etiquette has been given ample consideration by experts in the field. There are certain don’ts though that have to be emphasized and that you should avoid to make sure that you get a great impression. During a job interview, do not show a ‘know-it-all’ attitude, if you really don’t know what is being asked, be honest yet assertive. Avoid lying or bluffing as this may lead to an embarrassing situation. Secondly, do not boast. Confidence is necessary but overconfidence may make you look annoying. Your attitude is as important as your qualifications. Lastly, do not make negative remarks about your past employers no matter how bad your experience is with them. What you say can be in your favor the same way that it can be taken against you.
